When can students take up internships
International Students are allowed to take up internships only after they complete two regular semesters. Only Fall and Spring are considered as regular semesters.
So for example
If a student is starting his/her course work in Spring 2010, the she/he can take up internship only Spring 2011 onwards and if Fall 2010,then Summer 2011 onwards.
However there are certain rules to follow.If you have to take up internship after the third semester its important to contact your department.
Students pursuing masters in electrical engineering can not take up internship. Its a department rule.
Students pursuing masters in Business ( MBA ) and Computer Science have to speak to thier respective student advisors for paper work.
