MBA in Finance at San Francisco State University covers wide range of topics that include, stock valuationusing DCF method,basic understanding of financial management,pricing od derivtive inntruments overview of portfolio management and investments and an in-depth coverage of risk management. What is going to fascinate the new comers is that the Department has come up with new courses which have thrown light on New Venture Business Finance and International Finance.

However, not much of focus has been given to Investment Banking-M&A and Valuations.The finance program does not have courses which teach equity analysis but it is covered in one of the accounting classes

Faculty includes mix of experienced people from the industry as well as those who are fairly naďve in the business environment. As far as Finance courses are concerned most of the courses are focused on corporate fiancé and risk management.
